New York City rapper Mysonne delivered an epic 10-minute freestyle on the Sway in The Morning radio show that shook the rap world. Best known for his clever lyrics, Mysonne Linen was signed to Violator Management and was on the brink of stardom until he was arrested and found guilty of robbing a cab driver in 1999. Despite serving seven years in prison for a crime he insists he didn’t commit, Mysonne resumed his rap career as soon as he was released.
However, Mysonne soon became an activist and now travels the world advocating for the rights of black people. What is most impressive about Mysonne’s career is how he was able to transition his rap lyrics from gangster rap to positive rap without missing a beat.
