The Governor of New York has granted clemency to former Bad Boy artist G Dep. While he was signed to Bad Boys Record, G Dep released hits like “Special Delivery” and “Let’s Get It.” However, on December 15, 2010, the rapper walked into the 25th precinct and confessed to an unsolved murder. He was convicted and sentenced to 15 years to life. It is unclear when he will be released now that he has been granted clemency. According to reports, he is expected to appear before the parole board this spring, which suggests he may have received a time reduction.
